IP4FVG WINS THE PRIZE “AGENDA DIGITALE 2020”
The Friuli Venezia Giulia’s digital innovation hub has been awarded the prize in the regional category of effective digitalization case
The Friuli Venezia Giulia’s digital innovation hub has been awarded the prize in the regional category of effective digitalization case for the manner by which it has chosen to govern the digital transformation of the enterprises in the region; for creating a system of 27 public and private partners that, thanks to specialized expertise and dedicated infrastructures, help local enterprises digitize: a practical way to optimize available skills, infrastructures and resources. Thanks to all these factors, IP4FVG – Friuli Venezia Giulia’s digital innovation hub fostered and coordinated by Area Science Park as part of the ARGO System – has won one of the 4 “Agenda Digitale 2020” Prizes in the category of “cases of effective digitalization performed at a regional level.”
The Prize is organized by “Osservatorio Agenda Digitale” and was conceived to support a culture of digital innovation in our country; the prize goes to Public Administration bodies, SMEs and start-ups that have distinguished themselves in the digitalization processes of the public sector, with the objective of activating a virtuous cycle of sharing of best practices. Fifty projects were presented at the 2020 sixth edition, with the four winners being among them.
The prizes have been awarded today in the course of the convention “Abilitare l’Italia digitale: la buona regia per ripartire” (Enabling a digital Italy: a good direction to start anew), the annual appointment for the presentation of Osservatorio Agenda Digitale’s research results. Stefano Casaleggi, Chairman of IP4FVG’s Steering Committee and General Manager of Area Science Park, National Research and Innovation Agency, has collected – in virtual mode – the prize assigned to the Friuli Venezia Giulia’s digital innovation hub.
“IP4FVG stems from the idea that digitalization is a collective challenge that consists of the sharing of skills and resources by the various players active in a given territory” commented Stefano Casaleggi, Chairman of IP4FVG’s Steering Committee, adding that “By exchanging and sharing experiences, the 27 partners of IP4FVG have created new relationships and generated a real smart community that is capable of making a stronger push than the individuals parties alone. All of this has been possible thanks to the constant commitment of the partners of the hub.”
The IP4FVG network has been at the service of the enterprises of Friuli Venezia Giulia since 2018. Thanks to the expertise of 39 digital transformation experts active in the region, it supports every year more than a hundred companies, a constantly growing number.
According to the Regional Councilor for Labor, Training, Education, Research, University and Family, Ms Alessia Rosolen, “This award goes to the long-sightedness of the Regional Administration, which, ever since the beginning of the legislature has been active in the creation of a science system of international excellence, in which each individual specializes in a given sector and is complementary to the others. I’d like to emphasize two aspects in particular, the first one being the need to overcome the cultural bias that the public administration is impervious to innovation; in this specific case, we have been innovators and avant-gardists. The second aspect is as follows: in a context historically prone to Balkanization, we 27 partners have demonstrated our maturity and cohesion. Everyone matters and no one has the right to trample on the others, regardless of their name or financial standing. This prize also has a strong perspective value, as it serves as a good model of collaboration and professionalism.”
